Abbas Javadtalab is an assistant professor at Concordia University. He received his Ph.D. from EECS at University of Ottawa in 2015. He also earned the MSc degrees in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, IRAN, in 2005. His research interests: 360 video streaming, virtual and augmented reality, high-definition video conference (HDVC), rate adaptation, rate controller, quality of service, congestion prediction, congestion control and network delivery, especially in proxy caching, digital video broadcasting for handheld devices (DVB-H), streaming over Internet, network processors, communication processors, video/image processing, reliability and embedded systems. Specialties: multimedia technology, especially image and video communications, QoS and congestion prediction, video codec development: x264, H.264 MPEG-4 on embedded systems, video software architecture design, hardware architecture design, hardware driver development in Linux Kernel.
