My research and professional interests lie in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence. More specifically, I am interested in learning representations for automatically extracting features to be used in solving problems in natural language processing, computer vision and social network analysis. I have extended experience in the application of statistical machine learning techniques for analysis and modeling of network-structured data including biological and social networks and real-world networks of documents. More recently, I have successfully used deep neural networks in several object classification and detection problems.
